CHRIS BEAVER is an international customer service representative at Trek Bicycle Corporation in Waterloo, Wisconsin. A graduate of Louisiana State University (BA, French) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (MFS, Professional French Masters Program), he also coordinates internships in the French-speaking world and is an amateur cylcocross racer.
KAREN DE BRUIN is Assistant Professor of French at the University of Rhode Island. Her scholarship spans the Revolutionary and Napoleonic periods and focuses on political and romantic literature. She is currently reworking into a book her recently completed dissertation entitled “‘La femme supérieure’: L’individu, le roman, et la république libre de Germaine de Staël.” Her next scholarly project will examine the representation of the anti-slavery movement in women’s writings of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
MARY CROWLEY a travaillé dans l'outsider art avant de faire sa maîtrise en français à l'Université du Wisconsin-Madison (Professional French Masters Program). Suivant un stage au au Musée du Vieux Château à Laval (France) où elle s'occupait d'expositions temporaires et de la collection permanente d'art naïf, elle a fait son projet de recherche de maîtrise sur le financement des musées français. Elle travaille depuis comme Youth Arts Specialist, à MSCR (Madison Schools Community Recreation), responsable de tous les programmes d'enrichissement pour enfants en matière d'arts.
RITT DEITZ enseigne le français à l'Université du Wisconsin-Madison, où il dirige le Professional French Masters Program. Diplômé des universités de Virginie (B.A., français) et du Wisconsin (M.A., Ph.D., français), il est aussi auteur, musicien et compositeur.
ALAIN-PHILIPPE DURAND is Professor of French and Director of the School of International Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SILLC) at the University of Arizona. He has also taught at the Universities of Rhode Island; Santa Catarina, Brazil; Le Havre, France; and Stuttgart, Germany. He is the author of four books and numerous articles on contemporary French and Brazilian literatures and cultures.
RUSS GANIM est Directeur de la Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures à l’Université d’Iowa depuis juillet 2011. Avant d’arriver en Iowa, il était à l’Université du Nebraska où il enseignait le français et travaillait comme chef du Département de langues modernes. Ses recherches portent sur la prémodernité en France avec un accent sur la poésie lyrique. Depuis plusieurs années, son profil comprend aussi le rapport entre l’informatique et les lettres (digital humanities).
